Uncle Dave's Cycling Archive...

...is a salute to the riders and races that make cycle racing one of the world's most popular and exciting sports. Cycling as a pro sport has been in existence for more than a century, but there are few sites on the web which do more than tip their virtual hat at the sport's history.

Our aim is to redress that balance with features on the world's great riders and races from the past as well as the present. The site is structured around countries. Initially we are focussing on the world's four traditional cycling centres - Holland, Belgium, France and Italy - and their races and riders. Each country has its own page with links to the available features. Click on the map to go to the individual country pages or use the links in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page. Make sure you have your sense of humour packed in your musette and with you on the journey...

Like most people, we have work and other commitments and creating web pages is a satisfying - but time consuming - hobby. The site will therefore grow at whatever rate our other commitments permit and we make no promises about updates! (If you want to be notified when changes are made, we have a mailing list which you can join by following the Information link below.)

We hope you enjoy what's here.

Enjoy!

Dave and Andy
